Is Airsoft Safe?
Airsoft is a very safe activity when proper equipment and rules are
used. The plastic BB’s typically bounce off the skin or protective
gear. A BB can certain cause pain and injury and may leave a mark or
welt for a day, but the velocities at which these replicas fire is
low, typically in the range of between 270-400 feet per second.
All replicas are tested by chronograph before a game to determine
that their velocity is within field's limits, and are not allowed in
the field if they shoot in excess of the field's FPS limits. Most
injuries in Airsoft usually result from tripping and falling, due to
the intense physical activity of the game. We strongly advise every
participant to wear full face mask protection while eye protection
is a MUST in all our events.
The MOST severe injury can be to the eyes. You are NOT allowed to
remove your goggles at any time during the field of play.
Another area for concern is the ears. It is unlikely that a BB can
enter the ear canal and cause injury, but there is the potential.
Teeth have been lost as well, so again, a full paintball styled mask
with small slits or openings which will prevent a BB from entering
is best. Other solutions would be a mouth guard, balaclava or
shemagh.
All paticipants under 18, MUST wear a FULL paintball styled mask.
Our FPS limits and procedures are in place to ensure attendee's
safety and we cannot bend those rules as they are set by the
insurance company policy.
How different is it from Paintball tournaments?
The style of play is more of a military simulation event. The
weapons, gear and dress are more military or “real life”
counterparts. The missions and objectives often are based on “real
life” events. There are rank structures for the events and a chain
of command. Most events are mission based and not a “run and gun”
styled event.
What is the age limit?
12-13 Parent/Legal guardian/ Someone over 18 must play with you, and
Parent/Legal guardian must sign waiver.
14-15 Parent/Legal guardian/ Someone over 18 must remain on site.
Parent/Legal guardian must sign waiver.
16-17 Waiver MUST be signed by Parent/legal guardian.

18+ SIGN THE WAIVER and PLAY.
Full face mask required?
UNDER 18 MUST wear FULL paintball styled mask (no shemagh or
balaclava exceptions)
While we strongly recommend full face mask for better protection, it
is not required by over 18.

“real life” and is about working together for a common goal.
How does one become a Squad leader or higher at the events?
You can request a leadership role from one of the event staff during
registration. This does NOT however guarantee you a leadership role.
The event staff takes account many things in deciding who has these
roles. They generally go to people that are familiar with the field
or have extensive Airsoft experience.
Also, we try to accommodate larger teams with having a the team
assigned in the same squad with one member having a command
position.
Fighting and Arguments at an event?
NO Physical Contact is allowed. Any fights will result in immediate
expulsion from the event and possibly ALL of our future events.
Any arguments should be brought to the attention of the Event Staff
for them to resolve. Event staff have the final decision/voice and
must be respected. If you have an issue with one of the Event Staff,
please bring it to the attention of the head Event Staff either
Plague or Wizard.
Are cheaters punished?
We encourage all participants to act honorably by calling their own
hits as well as hits received by their team members. Calling hits on
the other team is not accepted.
If a participant feels someone on the other team is acting
dishonorably by cheating they should bring it to the Event Staffs
attention and let them handle and address the individual(s).
Cheating is NOT permitted and will be addressed. This could result
in a PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT or expulsion from the event.
If anyone is found to have purposely cheated the chrono process by
ANY MEANS. They WILL be immediately expelled from the event and
possibly ALL of our future events.

field of play, unless they pay an entrance fee and sign the field
waiver and of course have proper eye protection.
How do I find out about upcoming events?
Go to the "Events" portion of our website at
NewEnglandAirsoftEvents.com. There you will find a complete and
updated listing of events we host as well as specific rules for
different events as well as how to register for each event.
Are cameras allowed?
Cameras are allowed. However, no filming is allowed unless approved
by the event staff. This is due to the officially movie crew at
work. All people who intend to take pictures at the events MUST meet
with the event staff after the safety briefing.
Are BB grenades and box mag allowed?
These are generally assigned to specific roles and may only be
carried by someone being assigned that role.
Grenadiers are the ones that can carry grenade launchers and can
shoot projectiles (Nerf rockets).
ONLY SAW gunners can carry box mags.
We limit the amount of people assigned in these roles to reflect
“real life” armed forces assignments.
What if I only want to be a Sniper or SAW gunner?
These positions are limited and are assigned by Event Staff. You can
request to be assigned into one of these roles, but it does not
guarantee you will be so assigned. Please understand that we cannot
have 75% of the participants being assigned as snipers or SAW
gunners at an event.
How about food and accommodations?
Food is available either on-site or by being brought in by local
establishments. Of course, you can bring your own food for yourself,
but microwaves and fridges are not available for cooking and
storage.
There are several hotels/motels in the area as well as participants
that have allowed others to stay at their homes. Feel free to do a
search of the area for local places to stay or post up in the forums
that you would like to stay with another participant.

Port-a-Potties are provided at all our events. Limited lighting is
provided during our nighttime events. All participants are
encouraged to bring toilet paper (in case we run out) and a
flashlight with spare batteries |
